General Policies

1. All our classes are for preschool children ages four and five.  The classes are designed to meet the developmental age of children who are entering kindergarten the following school year.

2. No outside food or drinks except for water are allowed in the classroom to protect our students with allergies.

Sick Policies

Children inevitably catch normal colds and infections as well as Covid. But in order to keep these infections to a minimum, we ask that you cooperate with our policies on illness to keep all our friends healthy at the center. Please do not send your child to school if they have:

  • Fever (fever free for 24 hours)

  • Chills

  • Cough

  • Sore Throat

  • Congestion

  • Runny Nose (not seasonal)

  • Nausea or Vomiting (vomiting free for 24 hours)

  • Diarrhea (diarrhea free for 24 hours)

  • Fatigue or Headache

  • New Loss of Taste or Smell

  • Shortness of Breath

  • Muscle or Body Aches

Covid Protocols

We follow all CDC and Farmington Valley Health Department protocols and mandates.

1. Our center is mask optional. It is the family’s decision whether you would like your child to wear a mask in our center and classrooms.

2. All children will get a squirt of hand sanitizer before/after leaving the classroom.

3. Our classroom is cleaned thoroughly between classes and at the end of day using all Covid approved cleaners.

4. I am fully vaccinated with a booster. I will always make parents aware if anyone in my immediate family or I have had a close exposure or have tested positive for Covid.

5. All students that have tested positive must not come to the center for a 5-day quarantine period.

6. If your child is experiencing any symptoms of Covid or has come in close contact with someone who tested positive for Covid, please keep them home until tested with a negative result.

Cancellation Policy

1. If the center should need to close for weather related issues, I will text all the families of the class that your class has been cancelled. I will also post on our website and Facebook page as well. I tend to follow Avon Public Schools but there will be times I will make my own decision about closing.

2. In the event that I have to cancel classes or the center, I will offer makeup classes.
